When I asked what they experienced during this exercise one girl remarked that she saw three spirals of light with different colours around herself. I guided the children in shifting ‘the spotlight of their attention’ from sounds to thoughts and images to the breath and back to sounds again. Know that they can do something about feeling scared, even if it is ‘just’ focussing on their breath instead of feeding the stories in their minds.Īs a start I wanted to let the children become aware of their inner images and thoughts. ![]() When children become aware of their ‘inner images’ and how they can work with them, they can feel more in control and empowered. They love to use their imagination and I always enjoy hearing what is going on inside their imaginative world too. After our usual start of listening to the disappearing sound of the Tibetan bells I told the children that we were going to use our imagination in today’s lesson. ![]()
